If you are new to our podcast, what are you waiting for?  Get out those earbuds or some big, old school earmuff type headphones and go have a listen to our first podcast, which is available —> RIGHT HERE!

We’re not kidding about the earbuds, this podcast is UNCENSORED and NSFW.  It’s probably not healthy for children or other living things either, but we’ll leave that up to you to decide.

But before we even start talking about our first test episode, which was recorded with little or no introduction, we thought we’d answer the most burning question we get regarding the name of our podcast…

SEX WITH PENGUINS?  WHAT?

As it says in her bio on the “About” page, Christine is a spiritual counselor and a sex educator.  One day she was having a discussion with her then boyfriend about how to playfully combine the two aspects of her professional life.  Brain storming began and the ideas got sillier and sillier.  At the time, Christine had a .gif of herself with a halo that she used as her icon everywhere.

She’d also dressed up as nun promoting safe sex on several occasions, so the sex positive nun vibe was already well-established.  So, what do people sometimes say nuns look like in full habit?  PENGUINS, of course!

We laughed about the visual of a nun nervously teaching sex education to penguins, and then Christine took it a step further by asking her sister, the very talented M. Pena of Windstone Editions to draw her a rendition of the concept.

Around that same time in 2007, Christine had started listening to these new weird things called “podcasts”.  (Whadup, Kev Smith?!)  Inspired by the freedom of this new form of radio without rules, Christine tried to talk her most interesting friend, Sarah, into recording a podcast with her based on their funny, silly, sexy phone conversations.

Convincing Sarah, who is naturally a little shy, to allow herself to be recorded took some time.  Well, a long time.  Seven years, in fact.  But now we’re here, the mics are on and we’re recording.

Sex With Penguins Podcast is about spirituality, sexuality and that intersection where the two meet as a natural expression of our everyday lives.  And yes, we are talking, but we are also wanting to listen and extend our conversations to include YOU!
